Report a review
Help us keep Tareloom honest.
Moderators read every review before it is published, but nobody catches everything. If you see a review, photo, or piece of text that breaks our rules, or that belongs to you, tell us here. Last updated: .
Send a reportWhen to report
Report a review if you believe that it:
- is fake, paid, or manipulated, or comes from a person with an undisclosed link to the brand, the seller, or a competitor;
- was copied from another website or review, or is posted more than once;
- was written without real use of the product, or invents details (including text made with AI that does not reflect real experience);
- uses photos that are not the reviewer’s own (from the internet, a store page, a manufacturer, or another person);
- contains personal information, hate, harassment, threats, false statements about a person or company, or illegal content;
- contains promotion, spam, or links to other sites or products;
- describes a safety problem that you want us to look at, or contains a factual error.
Disagreeing with a reviewer’s opinion is not a reason for removal. Honest criticism that follows the Review Guidelines stays.
How to report
Email [email protected]. The button above opens an email with the subject already filled in.
What to include
The more you tell us, the faster we can act.
- The link to the review page.
- The reason, using the list above.
- The details: what exactly is wrong and where (the text, a particular photo, the rating).
- Evidence if you have it, such as the link to the original text or photo, or a screenshot.
- Who you are and how to reach you. Tell us if you are the author of the review, the owner of a photo, a brand, or an ordinary reader.
For brands and sellers
You can report factual errors or rule violations in a review about your product. Please say who you represent and point to the exact statement and your evidence.
- Honest negative feedback is not removed for being negative.
- We do not accept payment, gifts, or incentives in exchange for publishing, changing, or removing a review.
- We may publish nothing in reply, or ask the reviewer to clarify or add a follow-up note.
Photos and copyright
Every reviewer confirms that they took their photos themselves. If a photo or text on Tareloom is yours and was used without your permission, send us:
- the link to the review and a description of your original work (with a link to where it appears, or the file itself);
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that you own the work or act for the owner, and that you did not give permission for this use;
- a statement that the information in your report is accurate.
We may hide the content while we check it, and we may ask the reviewer for the original file.
Privacy and personal data
If a review or photo shows your personal information, or the personal information of someone you represent (such as a face, name, phone number, address, or document), tell us and we will look at it as a priority. If you are the reviewer and want your own review or data removed, write to us from the email address you used in the form. See the Privacy Policy for your rights.
What happens next
- A moderator reads your report and the review against the Review Guidelines and the Terms of Use.
- We may ask you, or the reviewer, for more information or proof of ownership.
- We may leave the review as it is, ask the reviewer for changes, edit out the prohibited part, hide the review, or remove it.
- Serious or repeated violations can lead to a block on posting.
- We tell you what we decided, and explain why where possible. We cannot always share details about other people’s submissions.
Appeals
If we rejected or removed your review, or you disagree with how we handled your report, reply to our email or write to [email protected] and explain why. A moderator will look at the case again.
False reports
Please report in good faith. Reports made to silence honest criticism, to hurt a competitor, or that we know to be false, may be ignored, and repeated misuse can lead to further action.
