The conditioner is very viscous. For my thin hair, it’s definitely easier to work with the conditioner if my hair is dripping very wet as with most conditioners. It definitely makes it easier to untangle my hair in the shower if you add more water to your hair after you initially apply the conditioner. It keeps my hair from fizzing in a hot humid environment and also in a dry heat environment. Whether I blow dry my hair or leave it to dry with ambient temperatures, my hair is definitely shinier after using the conditioner. I’ve used this conditioner for almost 5 years now and my skin and hair never have issues with it. Everyone’s mileage will vary based on your hair type and skin type though. The partner shampoo (same scent but is a shampoo instead of a conditioner) really leaves your scalp and hair dry by stripping it of all oils so you definitely need to use a conditioner and this one suffices. If you have acne, this is not a conditioner you should use if you can’t take a shower for more than a day though. I know that depends on everyone’s own skin and their own skin conditions. However, in my case, my scalp does tend to get oily near the end of a day which gets onto my hair and, if I brush my hair, my hair gets oily even down to the ends eventually by the next day if I don’t have time to take a shower. Given how much moisture the conditioner puts back into your hair and scalp, you do need to maintain good hygiene and shower each day or you will find this conditioner can negatively affect your acne on your face, scalp, or back depending on your hair length and the clothes you normally wear. The gentle aroma of the conditioner does linger in your hair. It’s not overpowering to my nose, and I generally find the aroma comforting. The scent has never bothered me in the shower or after my hair has dried. If you are sensitive to hair conditioners with scents, this may not be the conditioner for you though. The nozzle has a deep shaft and can be twisted back down into storage mode if you need to bring it with you like on a business trip. I don’t recommend that though since the bottle itself (when near full) is too large to bring past airport security. The bottle itself is big but that is my preference. The bottle is approximately 4.25 inches x 2.5 inches x 10.5 inches (l x w x h) with the nozzle extended. With the nozzle pushed back down into storage mode, the height drops to about 9.5 inches. Once the bottle is half empty or almost empty, I like to add a bit of water to the bottle and shake it up so that the conditioner is easier to work with and gather from the nozzle. Once the bottle is almost empty, just like most plastic bottles, you will have to unscrew the nozzle to get the remaining conditioner out (hence adding water to the bottle).
