LaView 4MP Bulb Security Camera Gives Quick, Easy Home Monitoring

I found this product while searching for a simple, inexpensive, quality solution for day and night time monitoring. Problem solved! The L2 is a “plug and play” device that simply screws into the socket of a light fixture. After downloading the LaView app, you are guided during the installation (either via the App or written instructions) to properly connect to your (2.4G) wifi. I was pleasantly surprised how simple the installation process was. Once the camera recognized the QR code and signified it was connected, the image came up quickly. Key attributes include its panning range, sound clarity, speak option, motion detection, and motion tracker, among others. I was very pleased with the image quality during daytime, and the ability to toggle between SD &HD. Areas to improve (for me) included the image quality during night time, where there was some reflective glare from the LED lights that ended up obscuring the image- but likely i need to optimize…truly- this was “plug and play” as I received a day before having to leave, got it set up, and i left the premises - but voilà, i was able to monitor the house and felt very comforted having this monitoring camera in place, and in fact, have purchased another L2 for another location. And to boot- setup for the second unit was easier than initial setup, so thumbs up all around. A couple of notes: 1) read the instructions carefully, but setup itself was clear. I was not immediately clear on where the QR code was, but following the instructions led me directly to the QR. 2) listen for the beep prompts during setup- it will help you know that you’ve completed a step correctly. 3) use 2.4;G L2 will not function with 5G. 4) L2 is meant to screw into a light fixture where the socket is facing “downwards.” If the lighting fixture has a decorative covering, you may need to remove it (like me) as it extended/ covered the camera- it impeded the viewing area and image quality. 5) regarding the L2 in a conventional stand-up lamp (socket upwards)- unfortunately, the L2 camera does not self-correct- ie, in a traditional lamp base, the image will be upside down. No worries! if viewing on your smartphone, simply magnify the image to fullscreen and you can orient your phone (ie, tuen it!) so you can view “right-side-up”. Or, buy an R3 camera! 6) waterproof- even with a major downpour and sideways rain- my exterior L2 toughes it out. In the end- easy purchase, easy install, immediate 24/7 monitoring. Recommend for a quick solution!
