Ilios Lighting LED Compact Mirror: Big and Bright, With a Few Flaws

This will be my review of the Ilios Lighting LED Compact Mirror with Light and 1x and 10x Magnifying Mirror in 5-inch Mini Size Ideal for TraveIlios Lighting LED Compact Mirror with Light and 1x and 10x Magnifying Mirror in 5-inch Mini Size Ideal for Travel" There are a lot of positive things to like about this mirror, and three minor flaws that I see in it when compared to some other led mirrors I own. This mirror feels very nice in the hand. Its got a nice weight and glossy finish to it, and, although I have large hands, I barely manage to carry it with one hand because of its large size. While this may be a con to some, it does mean that both internal mirrors are very large and you can see your face clearly. The led light is very bright, and the touch sensitive button to turn it on and off is very cool. You can also long press the button after its on to dim the light slowly, and then long press it again to raise the brightness. The led light, and operation of it, is where my three critiques lie. Firstly, the led light ring is only on the bottom mirror. I have owned other brands where both mirrors have their own led light ring, so this is definitely a con. It means that if you are using the top mirror, you don't have any light shining on your face unless you move move your head directly above the bottom mirror light. Secondly, other mirrors have a color temperature selection (warm, cool blue, etc). This mirror seems to only have a cool white selection. It may not be a big deal to some, but one reason I could see the different color temperatures being a big deal is for applying makeup. Perhaps you would want to tune your makeup application for the light in the area you may be staying in, although maybe thats a stretch (I don't use make up :) Lastly, and this one is important, the led lights don't turn off automatically when you close the mirror. That means you have to manually turn off the light each and every time before you close the mirror, or you risk draining the battery if you forget. Other brands of led mirrors that I have tried were able to turn off the lights automatically when I closed them, which is a nice touch. This mirror comes with a usb-c cable like everything else nowadays, and it charges that way just fine. Overall, despite its flaws, I think this is a decent mirror, and it does have the big size going for it. The fact that it comes with a 10x mirror up top and a regular mirror on the bottom is awesome enough, led or no led. However, if you can find a variant of led mirror with two lights instead of one, I would recommend that instead.
