Amcrest IPM-HX1W Owner Finds Great Audio but Playback Issues

Wounding why 4 stars? I have many IP cameras and NVRs brands installed at my various location and each Brand/Model has its own pros and cons. So I have fairly good idea what I am taking about. Cons: 1.Motion notification playback issue. When u receive motion alert on your smartphone and when u click, it supposed to playback the video clip which trigger notification, which is not playing in this model. This camera with stock firmware have this issue which amcrest also acknowledged ( I have the support ticket number pending over an year) but not rectified yet. Even the latest firmware upgrade did not resolved this issue. This issue also exist in amcrest 2k UltraHD shield model. 2. The Image is artificially sharpen and get very distorted from corners to achieve 140 degree wide viewing angle. See attached photo. The wooden gate is straight but appeared rounded. 3. The one of major disadvantage of this camera that user can not horizontally tilt the camera body. This significantly limits the placement options. 4. Although user can play back SD card recorded video which is a really pain in term of ease of use. Multiple click required to play desired specific day/time video. By default it accept to play only 2 hrs playback window. Minor typo error cause cost you again multiple time consuming clicks. Also during playback fast forward, rewind skip to next frame is very unstable to use. Also the entire process is very slow. I have Hikvision NVR and I can play whole day recording with only 2 clicks with much faster response time in mobile app. 5. No cover on micro SD card slot. Water and dust can easily enter into camera. However LAN port has rubber cover. 6. Window plugins does not work with firefox hence it does not show & playback using firefox. This issue is general across all model and not to this model only. 7. High noise in picture quality. 8. Observed high real time delay Pros: 1. Fantastic Audio quality (of remote side) with good noise cancellation algorithm. Infact this model has the best audio sensitivity, i have seen so far. 2. Two different MAC address offer to two separate Ip addresses for LAN and wifi which is very good. 3. Image quality is very good even it is artificially adopted. 4. 140 degree wide angle really deliver most despite image distortion from corners. 5. Observed not much image quality difference between this and Shiled2K model. 6. Wifi reception are is not wide but not bed as well considering inbuilt antenna. Overall I like this camera and wish a shield waterproof and PoE model should also be produced.
