Comfortable and flowy, but the waistband runs snug compared with the rest of the pant.
For reference, I’m 5’0”, around 140 lbs, with a short torso and a postpartum/mom-of-three body. I ordered a Medium. These were actually much softer, stretchier and flowier than I expected from the listing photos. The material reminds me more of a thicker, stretchy T-shirt knit than a structured pant fabric. They’re comfortable and have a nice drape, but there are a few fit issues that make me a little torn on whether I’ll keep them right now. The pants are definitely high-rise on me and sit nicely above my hips. The waistband is a little over an inch wide and feels substantial, but it’s also fairly tight compared with how roomy and stretchy the rest of the pants are. If you have extra weight or loose skin around your midsection like I currently do postpartum, the waistband itself isn’t particularly flattering or smoothing. However, I have to give the overall design credit—the vertical striped pattern and wide, flowy legs do a surprisingly good job of visually disguising those areas once you look at the outfit as a whole. Sizing up is tricky. I think a Large would make the waistband more comfortable, but the rest of the Medium is already plenty roomy on me, so I’m concerned a Large would make the entire pant too oversized. They’re also extremely long on my 5’0” frame. I would need to wear these with wedges or another shoe that gives me some height to keep them from dragging. Petite shoppers should definitely keep the length in mind. The pockets are genuinely deep, which I like, but the stretchy fabric means heavier items pull the pants downward. I wouldn’t want to walk around with my phone in the pocket for very long. It is not see through, even on the white parts. Construction seems decent, and the care tag is sewn into the side near the hip. If the tag bothers you, I would carefully cut it out rather than pull it because it’s incorporated into the seam. The fabric is comfortable, but it also feels like something that could eventually pill if treated roughly. I would personally wash these in cold water and hang dry them. I’m also not sure how forgiving this material would be with stains, so that’s something I’ll be careful about. For me right now, these are better for lounging, around the house, or a short casual/social outing than an all-day outfit. With the waistband fitting as snugly as it does, I wouldn’t choose them for going out to eat or taking a long walk. I’m still considering keeping them because the price is low, I genuinely like the pattern and flowy style, and I’m currently losing my remaining baby weight. I could see these fitting me considerably better as my postpartum body continues to change. I might also reorder them later rather than sizing up now because the rest of the Medium fits the way I want it to. Overall, cute, comfortable and a good value for the price, but the waistband runs noticeably snug compared with the very roomy legs. If you’re between sizes or carry more weight through your midsection, that’s the main thing I’d consider before ordering.
