The best flexible resin I have used
I printed this Starship test using the same settings I use for SUnlu ABS-Like: 17 second for 4 bottom layers and 3.5 second normal layers, and it came out perfectly exposed. Printed on an Elegoo Saturn 2 8K. This resin is in the same category as Saraya Tech Tenacious, so I'll mostly compare it to that. I'll list my findings below: - Ease of printing and detail: this prints similar to other SUNLU resins I've used. ABS-Like is my preferred resin, and I would say it's pretty much the same as far as printability and detail. Both are excellent. Some of the extremely thin sticks became a little more bent over than they would have using ABS-Like, but nobody prints hair like structures anyway. Tenacious can be a little tricky with the rings on the back in particular, and the hammers sometimes fail with the correct exposure. I had no such issue with the Toughness resin. Flexibility: this is pretty much the same as Tenacious as far as flexibility goes, it is extremely flexible. It doesn't spring back right away on thicker sections or when bent to an extreme, but small pieces bounce back easily and other parts can easily be bent back to the original shape. If you bend a thicker piece far enough, say beyond 90 degrees, it may tear, but it doesn't snap and break in two. This is my experience with other flexible resins as well. The small piece that I broke off in the video has holes in the design at that spot. It would not have broken otherwise. I intentionally bent it to the point of failure to see how it held up. This resin is pretty much drop proof. Odor: I vent my printer out a window, but some brands still stink up my printer room. This is on par with other SUNLU resins and has no noticeable smell in my setup. Tenacious has a strong odor by comparison, and that is one reason I don't like using it. Use: This resin would be great for printing miniatures (not my thing), or parts that need a bit of flex. Conclusion: If you need a flexible resin, go with this one. I would say it's a better alternative to Tenacious as it is equal to or better in all categories. The fact that it is more affordable is an added bonus. You can easily mix it with your resin of choice if you just want make something else less brittle (I'm looking at you SUNLU Standard). Final tip: After printing, do not wash your print excessively long, and let it dry overnight before curing if possible. I left mine in the wash station longer than usual and the thin cross section on the back became distorted. I assume it absorbed alcohol. I checked it the next morning and it had tightened back up.
