Game changer, Pretty happy after first month of use
I'm going to review two things here, the DC02 Electric Bidet Seat (which I purchased on my own) and the F2 Auto-Flush Accessory (which was provided by iCleaningo for review). Originally I was planning to get a different brand, but decided on the DC02 because: - It came with an auto-open seat when similarly priced bidets don't have this. Both the lid and the seat are motor-controlled, and can be configured to either lift just the lid or both. - The average power consumption rating is listed at 1060W (1500W max), and should work okay with 14awg wire (i.e. 15A circuit). I'm guessing it can consume less than this if you keep the seat heat & water temp settings fairly low. For a tankless setup this seemed lower compared to other vendors, if you need something that consumes less maximum power I was only finding tanked bidet setups like the BIobidet BB1000 which carry other limitations. - While not really marketed, the lid seems sittable since it has some silicone feet underneath the lid to prevent scratches and the design of it is flat near the front, along with being made of Polypropylene which allows for some flex. The sittable lid is nice for occasions when you need to sit and cut nails or something in a small bathroom. What I've liked so far after using this for a month: - Finally, way less toilet paper! I've been telling myself to get a bidet seat for decades and it really does reduce TP down to nearly nothing, maybe a square sometimes. The dryer seems to help you get dry if you're willing to sit there for at least 30 seconds. - iCleaningo support email seems pretty responsive, you may want to double-check your spam folder if you don't hear from them quickly when registering your warranty. - The DC02 power cable measures out to 5 feet. This turned out to be just enough to run to an outlet I setup further in front of the toilet, flush against wall trim, with a bit of slack to spare (see photos). I've heard other bidets run closer to 4 feet, which might've caused a bigger electrical project for me to get an outlet close enough. - The DC02 spray wand does come in handy in occasional scenarios where you need to either clean down the toilet or the floor nearby or well...someone that's in a bit of a mess. - The DC02 lights may seem a bit gimmicky but do help indicate if the seat warmer is on, and is kinda fun to play around with to help personalize the toilet a bit (I like the purple color, kinda wish they added a few more color options like orange or red but there's plenty of options already). - Whether you get the F2 auto-flush or not, the DC02's auto-open seat is helpful in making sure the seat is closed when not in use. - The F2 Auto-Flush accessory makes me worry a lot less in households where you might have a forgetful person that forgets to flush, and will help keep the toilet clean and less smelly. I was a bit worried at first that it was going to look kinda bulky but I managed to hide the motor pump underneath my toilet tank (see video & photos). Generally, the auto-flush happens a few seconds after you get off the seat, then the seat will auto-close a minute or so after once your presence is no longer detected. - The F2 came with eight mounting rods (four short, four long), you'll only need half of these but should cover a lot of different toilet tank scenarios from wide ones to thin ones. I used two short and two long to mount inside a Toto Drake Tank. - The presence detection & seat detection features on the DC02 really tie it all together - from making sure the spray/dryer features only work when one's on the seat, to auto-flushing with the F2 accessory, to opening & closing the seat lid. Nitpicks & Mods: - Overall loving this seat, the one thing to watch for is the seat and lid can get scratched easily if you sit on it with say, jeans with metal rivets. I'm planning to cover the lid and possibly the seat with waterproof contact paper to help protect it. - The remote is pretty good, I just wish the spray wand button required multiple taps or was recessed since you could accidentally start spraying water out of it since it's right next to the dryer button. - For eldercare scenarios, You really want to limit someone to only using 3-4 buttons (the spray button, the dry button, and stop button) - I'm planning to just 3d-print a remote cover to hide all the other buttons and add some written text labels so things are a bit more self-explanatory. - It looks nice enough on the Toto Drake toilet, part of me sorta wishes the water & electrical lines could run through the Washlet+ hole some bowls have but as long as you use some cable ties and stick-on hooks (they provide one for the DC02 spray wand and the F2 motor pump) you won't notice these things much. Overall this has been a pretty nice setup as a first-time bidet user.
