Plenty of room for everything you need
I was looking for a replacement for a well worn backpack I use when I fly. The KAUKKO Travel Laptop Backpack looked like a very good candidate. It has deep, large main compartment with a pocket for a laptop or large tablet. It also has two compartments on each side as well as a medium sized round compartment and a smaller square compartment on the front side. The four side compartments are held closed by a strap and two snaps. The medium sized front compartment has two zippers and the smaller square compartment is held closed by one snap. The main compartment has a draw string style top and a top cover held down by a single, large, quick release buckle, with and adjustable length strap. It appears to be very well made. The backpack has nice, wide, padded, easily adjustable shoulder straps, with adjustable chest and waist straps. The back of the backpack has thick, mesh pads for each side of your back and a thick, oval, mesh pad for the small of your back, making this a very comfortable backpack to carry. The backpack also has a handy nylon carrying handle on the top for when you want to just carry it by hand. For backpacking this is a great bag, plenty of room of everything you need and more. For air travel it can work out great for most travelers. For me, there are some downsides to this design. I take a large tablet, noise cancelling headphones, chargers for my tablet, cellphone and headphones and all the charge cables, rechargeable batteries for my camera equipment, medication and other items I may want easy access to during my flight. I also prefer an aisle seat on a aircraft and on most airlines I fly on, the space under the aisle seat ahead of you is not quite as big as the middle or window seats. Because of the thick, mesh padding in back, this backpack, filled with the items I normally pack, will not fit in the space under the seat ahead of me that my older, slightly smaller, backpack does. I had to place this backpack in the overhead compartment. It's a little more inconvenient for me to have to get up and remove the backpack from the overhead compartment, retrieve what I need and put the bag back. More so if I end up in a middle or window seat. This may not be a deal breaker for most people. The four side compartments are great for packing small items, the bottom ones has a zipper closure, but the top compartments only use a single closing strap with snaps, making placing or retrieving items from them a little difficult at times. The way the top side compartments are closed with just a single strap and snaps is not secure enough to keep smaller items from sliding out the top when the backpack is placed on it's side, like in the overhead compartment of an airplane. Zippers on these top compartments like the bottom side compartments would be a better choice. I will be able to make good use this backpack, and use it on short distance flights where I don't need access to anything, but will probably not use it when I fly on flights lasting two or more hours.
