Ambient temps way off and inconsistent
Update: In addition to the review below, the company finally sent me a new set, promising that they would be tested before shipping to me. These unfortunately have the same problems as the first set. The company received my first set back and verified the issues and are going to send me a third set now. It's now been four months since I purchased these and still don't have a working set. I own a Fireboard 2, which I love. The product and the iPhone app are really well designed and everything works great. I purchased the Meater specifically for rotisserie cooking. Unfortunately, the ambient temperatures are wrong and inconsistent from one probe to another. See the attached photo. Probe 1 measures 32° different from probe 2, and the other two probes are also both different. There is a much smaller difference in temp for the meat itself, but it's still 3° different, which to me is not acceptable in a product this expensive. I cook chicken to a specific temp and need to be able to rely on these temperatures being accurate. I did the test with all four probes in a glass of water in an oven, so there is no way the temps should be different at all. I contacted the company and have gotten terrible tech support on this. They say the verified the problem and escalated it to another department but nobody has gotten back to me in weeks. It's been two months since I first reported the problem. These problems aside, I'm not crazy about the design of the block, which I purchased so that they would connect to my wifi network so I could monitor from my phone. The range without this is pretty bad, so even though I really need only one probe I was forced to purchase four. It has tiny buttons you need to press to turn it on and operate it. As compared to the Fireboard, which has large buttons and any of them turns it on to operational in one press, the Meater requires you to make a choice about whether you want to use wifi every time you turn it on. Why? The probes are larger than I'd like, but I know they have to fit antennae into the units. It would be better if the part sticking out was larger and the probe in the meat was smaller like other probes. That would also make it more obvious how far you have to insert the probe into the meat (they have a small, hard-to-see band you need to insert it into). The units come with metal clips that number them, but they fall off too easily, and I'm sure one will get lost soon. The probes also have numbers on the top, so this isn't a huge problem, but again the numbers are lightly etched and difficult to read. They should have made these numbers and the insertion line black so they would stand out and be easy to see and read. I really wish Fireboard just made probes that worked with their unit. Right now I have to use both systems every time I cook since Meater alone doesn't give me the information I need.

AWESOME TV mount! EASY to install. One minor gripe on vertical adjustment.
A lovely bag, but several problems in design and fitment that require user modification

Great for the price. One caveat, though...
Downgraded Optics, Aggressive Paywalls, Poor Software Experience and Broken App Integration
