Overall a good purchase- follow directions and see my tips for long lasting wear
I am new to nail wraps/stickers- about 3 months now. I found myself needing to be more mindful of what I was spending my money on to save more. I have only used Dashing Diva Gloss nail wraps up to this point but wanted more options for the accent nails. This is where tough girls comes in. Pros- plenty of accent nails in great designs. I actually found myself wanting a couple more of the plain nails. I received lots of compliments on my nails. The pictures are after 8 days of wear and I have three kids. I have cooked, cleaned, washed dishes and today painted some walls- all bare hands. I got paint on them and I scraped it off. Afterwards I did put another coat of clear nail polish on to freshen them up. I’m pretty sure I can get another week out of them and will put on another set of wraps. Cons- be advised that these wraps are thicker than Dashing Diva. Some folks may or may not have an issue with that. I also had to reposition the wraps a couple times to get it right when I put them on and I didn’t have issues with adhesion. (See my note below on application). The last thing I didn’t like was there were not quite enough options for sizes. You can see on my thumb that the wrap is a good bit smaller than my real nail. For My thumb, I probably should have used a larger one and cut it down to size, but I didn’t have a ton of time to do so when I put these on. Also, having a clear backing instead of white, would make this process much easier. In general a clear background would make it a lot easier for us to size correctly. Overall I recommend these wraps. Notes on adhesion: FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!! I took a bath and soaked my nails for a good 30 minutes. I used a cuticle pusher (or use your own nails) to push back cuticles. Don’t forget the sides of the nail beds too as I found that skin grows on the sides of my nails too and then the sticker doesn’t adhere anymore after a couple days. So make sure to get all of the cuticle all the way around your nail bed. Then when my nails were dry I used the alcohol wipe. Then I used a nail prep dehydrator. Don’t skip this step. You’ll need to buy one. It’s what salons put on your nails before they put gel, dip or acrylics on. It helps get the extra moisture, if any is left, after the alcohol wipe, off your nail. Then put your wraps on. I have mine sized and ready to go in front of me beforehand. I have found regular old clear nail polish works better rather than a gel topcoat to seal. When filing, go in a downward motion only. DO NOT Pull on the wraps when you put them on. The will shrink back and your tips will look ratchet. I can’t review the removal of these as I have not removed them yet.
